Current land use interests in the Peel watershed planning region include, subsistence harvesting, traditional land use, trapping, commercial and private canoeing excursions, commercial outfitting, mineral exploration, oil and gas exploration, recreational snowmobiling and hiking, and the Dempster Highway.
